Wes is now 2 weeks old and everyone is adjusting nicely!
Grandma Weis was here for a week and half and was a huge help around the house. Grandma Cook arrives tomorrow, we are blessed to have so much help!
Elliot is adjusting to life with "baby Ves." She is getting gentler with him and starting to think he is old news :) She can now sing all of twinkle twinkle little star and good parts of ABC's, row row row your boat and you are my sunshine. When you read her favorite books, she tells you what is coming next and finishes your sentences. She counts to 10 and often counts out her food/berries! It is amazing to see her little mind grow and see her learning so fast! She is a sponge!
Wes is continuing to be a great sleeper! I have had to wake him up to eat at 4 and 5 hours the last few nights because he is still sleeping! Mornings are nap after nap, evenings are cluster feeding until bedtime. I would say that we have gotten into a nice rhythm around here. He is very expressive when he sleeps, he laughs, he cries and has all sorts of emotions!
We had a family water balloon fight with, I was wearing Wes which worked to my advantage that no-one could get me wet. Dad and Elli went on a hike, giving mom some snuggle Wes time. The Seattle wading pools opened which allowed Elliot to enjoy the heat at the pool. We went strawberry picking again with grandma Weis which included Elliot having an emergency pee in a corn field...shhh don't tell. We even made a trip down to PDX to house hunt while G-ma Weis entertained Elli in Seattle. Wes is quite a trooper! No house yet :( Elliot is ready she keeps saying "new house?" to us.
All in all an action packed few weeks filled with adventures, snuggles and family time.
