This girl! Man do we all love her.
Fiona is really hitting her stride. She is devouring food. We have used baby led weaning for all kids, basically letting them feed themselves steamed foods. While at first this was fine with Fiona, now she has developed an appetite and she gets FRUSTRATED. She wants to bed fed by her parents and fed FAST. Metal spoons are one of her favorite toys.
Almost exactly when she hit 7 months she decided to get mobile. She is practicing her stance on her knees, log rolling back and forth to get places. The other day mom was sitting in front of her and she did everything in her power to get there. Unfortunately when she tries to crawl forward she usually ends up scooting backwards and further away which again is VERY frustrating for the little girl.
She has mastered her communication with screams. Her and Wes are a good team that way right now. Fiona has a few different screams, pick me up, I want mom, give me whatever you are eating, oh my goodness this is the most thing ever, my gosh my siblings are crazy....the list goes on and on. For really the first time she is one of the "crew" and the kids now love playing games with her. Unfortunately Fi is often the victim of too much loving.
With the Coronavirus Pandemic (a whole different conversation) all our travel plans were canceled so we decided to go forward with out "sleep training." We did it just as Fiona turned 7 months and Fiona was a champ. The easiest of the 3 kids. She cried on and off for 40 minutes on night, then pretty much started putting herself to sleep and only waking up one time at night. This has been a saving grace through all this Pandemic Chaos.
